There are two ways we can go about adding bands:
- Scout ads, audition, record, and release
- Find bands who already have CDs
We would be able to add 3-5 extra bands that already have CDs because it wouldn’t take as much time

Got song titles and lengths and the names of the band members

-Keep searching for sample contracts, check the library

Financial Team- Loren, Steve, Colin
Steve met with the college; right now we can collect money through the club. The only problem with that is in June the money we collect will disappear.

Assignment:
-Research Paypal casual vs. a business account. Find pros and cons
-Research possible EBay seller
-Get more Paypal information
-Continue to work with the college

Web Development Team- Colin, Shaun
Nothing new since last week.

Assignment:
-Website review for next class

Distribution Team- John, Sam, Felicia, Ryan
Continue looking at merchandizing sites

Assignment:
-Look at the websites from last weeks notes, and any others you can find.

Next meeting will be April 2nd at 3pm.

Record Blog

Nice job everyone getting the blog up and running - Logo is looking great. We need to get with Keeler and get the web hosting / domain name squared away, so we can link from the blog to the site and start posting our web pages soon. I am very excited about this new direction for Cayuga Records. Thanks for including me in the blog - Fedy

Distribution- determines how, when, and where

Financial- hot to collect and account for money
- Loren, Colin, Steve
Legal- develops contracts

A+R- works with artist

Web Development- coordinate building website

Team Assignments:
-Distribution- meet with Colin and A+R for the next 2 weeks, find out what we’re working with. CD- style, length, tracks, cover art…
-Financial- find out how we can collect money. Search on the internet, look at pay pal, visa, or MasterCard for partnerships
-A+R- get info about the people in the band
-Web Development- talk to Todd

Logo Review:
Start using what we have as part of the website design

Website Layout:
Link on Cayuga Records site to the college website, Telecom Department, and WDWN sites. Also link from those sites to the Cayuga Records site.

Release Party:
John knows a couple guys that work at bars that we could possibly hold the party at, so we need to come up with a date at some point.
